See You in Brazil LLC wants every booking to feel risk-free. This policy covers cancellations, refunds, and changes for all tours booked through our website. We balance flexibility for you with commitments to local partners in Brazil. Policy effective November 2025.
Standard Cancellation Windows
Bookings canceled more than 60 days before the departure date receive a full refund minus a $150 processing fee per person. Cancellations between 59 and 30 days prior return 50 percent of the total paid. Within 29 days of departure, payments become non-refundable due to locked-in hotel blocks, guide contracts, and domestic flight tickets. All timelines follow U.S. Eastern Time.
Deposit and Final Payment Rules
A 25 percent non-refundable deposit secures your spot at booking. The remaining balance is due 75 days before departure. If final payment is missed, the reservation cancels automatically with the deposit forfeited. Early full payment does not alter the standard windows above.
Trip Modifications by You
Switching to a different departure date or tour within the same calendar year is treated as a cancellation plus new booking. Fees follow the original timeline, but we waive the processing charge if the new date costs the same or more. Name changes for airline tickets incur carrier fees passed directly to you.
Cancellations or Changes by Us
Rare events like natural disasters, government travel bans, or supplier bankruptcy may force us to cancel. In such cases, you receive a full refund or credit toward any future trip, whichever you prefer. We notify you within 48 hours of learning the issue and cover re-booking fees on comparable services when possible.
Travel Insurance Recommendation
We require proof of comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical evacuation, and lost luggage. Refunds outside this policy are only possible through your insurer. We can suggest U.S.-based providers during checkout but do not profit from sales.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds return to the original payment method within 10 business days. Credit card charges may take an extra billing cycle to appear. Wire transfer refunds include any bank fees we incur. Partial refunds for unused services during a trip, such as a missed flight, are evaluated case-by-case with supplier documentation.
Non-Refundable Elements
Domestic flights, park permits, and third-party tickets purchased on your behalf are always non-refundable once issued. We disclose these at booking and show them separately on your invoice.
Special Circumstances
Medical emergencies or family deaths qualify for review beyond standard windows. Send documentation within 14 days of cancellation, and we refund what suppliers return to us, minus the processing fee. Jury duty or military orders follow the same path.
